Mine is a 2005.
Not even sure how it could be wired different? It's basically a factory vehicle except for the radio.

Do you have your owner’s manual? The window operation parameters should be described in there. Could this be one of those selectable things like how the automatic door locks can be configured in different ways? Some can only be changed by a dealer. Other than that, I got nothin’.

EDIT: Screenshot from the ’07 manual. Unless the function changed, the windows should not work hours later without power. Learned something new…the AUTO light on the window switch indicates the windows have power. Is your light always on?

I don't think the light is always on.. I'll unlock the car and check tonight when it's dark out.

sounds like someone rewire the relay, giving it power at all times. could be previous owner use to go camping or overland.

Just an observation on the owner's manual info I posted earlier - I wonder why the window operation duration is 43 seconds after the ignition turns off? Seems weirdly specific.

It looked like the auto light was on when I opened it up after a few hours, but it doesn't appear to be on when I shut the car off. Weird.

In your first post you say the side windows will work without the ignition being on, but not the hatch window. My 2004 allows all the windows to roll up or down for about 42 seconds after the ignition is off (before the door is opened) including the hatch window.

Mine too, also the sunroof. Seems the op's truck has some oddities.

Funny the hatch window doesn't work at all without the key, except down with the fob button.

The battery doesn't drain unusually. maybe I'll eventually look at the window relays and see if they are different than recommended or altered at all.

Have you tried other accessories, such as the radio, that should normally have no power when the ignition key is removed? I'm thinking you might have an ignition switch problem.

Welp that can't be normal.

Looks like a jumper from one relay to the IG spot which is empty. Assuming that's an ignition relay..

Never even opened that panel in my 6 years of having the SUV. I guess I'll buy a relay for that spot and see what happens.

no point of putting a relay in that spot, also someone did the fog light mod for you already.

Nice. I wonder if they ever were on here back when they had it. That would be interesting to find.

I thought my fogs stayed on all the time by the switch and didn't go out with hi beams and didn't understand why some had to mod theirs.

not sure if this is new, but if you hit the unlock on the remote and hold a window switch at the driver side, the window will go down or up, i think the factory keyless triggers the 2nd ignition circuit.

unless you just shut off the truck, with no doors opened yet, you have 30 seconds to open or close all windows before any door is opened.
