I think J.A. is right, I have not seen or heard of a member buying a 2009. I don't even see ads for a 2009. Here it is, mid-December.

So, if you have seen or own a 2009 POST here. Especially, if you have the new Trail Edition 4Runner. I keep seeing dealers selling the 08's, not just 4Runners, but many other SUV's and trucks. It will be interesting when they come out. (I will make this a sticky until a 2009 is posted.)

I heard from a friend that they are selling the 08 Tundras until they are gone and they will make a run of 2009's for ONLY 4 months. Has any one esle heard this?

I did a quick check of the three largest Toyota dealer's inventory in the metro Denver area and the only two models w/o any 2009 vehicles 'in stock' and ready for delivery are the 4Runners and Tundras. The dealers are still selling 2008 models. All the other models have 2009 inventory.
 
Yeah. they have been selling the 09 Camry's & Corolla's for quite awhile here. I wonder if they are keeping the 09 4Runners and Tundras in a secret parking lot till the 08's are all gone.

If the 08's are not sold by January or February, will they sell them cheap, especially the American trucks and SUV's, like the Jeep Commando?:confused:
 
i seen an 09 urban runner in black which i thought was wierd
cause i thought the urban was only a 08 model, but sure enough
i saw it in south nj and the reg said 09
 
my dealer has 5 2009's on the lot, 2 limited, 2 sr5, and one sport.

Of course they have about 6 08's, all white it seems.
 
Yeah, the list of options has drastically diminished as well. I think you only have basically the radio option anymore... I was pricing 08 Limited's and I had 2 options, navi or no-navi.
 
I have seen no 09 4R's yet. I inquired about the TE model and was told they were holding 09's until the 08's are gone. The deals on the 08's are swweeeet though. Same with 08 FJ's .

The dealer closest to me has 2 Tacoma's that are 08 , but have sold off all the 08's Taco's except those 2 , but have a ton of 09's they have been getting in . Probably 20-30 units. They have about 8 08 FJ's also , quite a few 4R's , I may guess 10-15 left. They do seem to be selling them pretty well they had about double that 2 weeks ago. If your looking to buy an 08 or 09 you can really get some deals.

If you were using the online "build your own" then it selects options that are typically seen in your area and limits you to only those options. When I did it for a sport it would only let me choose white and there we no options available at all.
 
A local dealer here in Southern California told me three weeks ago that the 2009 4Runners have not entered production. Toyota is holding off until the inventory of 2008s is sold off, even if that takes into 2009 to do so.

As long as the Dealers are offering the $2,500off or 0% for the 08s who is going to want to deal on the 09?

Look at the Spects. it's almost the same 4Runner just small items changed.

That is true, but you are buying a year old car. If you keep it awhile no problem. Plus who knows what the 09's are going to sell for, we know they still will deal on them, just not as much.

That is a good deal. Riverider was talking about $2,500 off plus 0% financing. If you don't get 0% you can get $4,000 off. So, that would be $6,500 off. I am guessing you didn't get 0% fincaning with your $8,000 off, if you did let me know where you bought it.

It was listed at 32,000 where we purchased it. we called them and got 4,000 off on their deal and then they brought it down to 24,000 drive out price with. Payed it cash so no financing. We called about 20 dealers until got the best price. and each dealer knew they were fighting for the best price because we sent a fax with all the dealers names at the top of it so everyone knew they were bidding on it. Cherokee County Toyota gave us the best price

So while they didnt say 8,000 off, they gave us that much off from the price listed on the cars window.

Thanks.. Getting back to the 09's though, they have about 9 of them around north west atlanta, 3 Limited, 1 Sport, and 5 Sr5s, No trail edition yet though, I want to see one of those
