I just drove a Porsche Cayman (718) GT4. I've driven Porsches before and have had fast cars. The sound, the feel, the rawness, the directness....just insane. I'm still smiling. I haven't driven manual in probably over a year and a half and it was so easy to heel-toe. I've driven open wheel race cars before, and this was the closest I've ever come to that feel on the street. I might be in love.

Rented 2021 Yukon. Pretty quick, handled okay, good brakes. But, not as big as I would expect inside for 5 adults. Yeah, pushing it I know. It was comfortable. But I hate the driving assists. Hate em.
Rented 2022 Explorer. POS. Underneath has trays that have plastic clips that break and two regular bolts with small washers. When clips break, these buckets rattle as you gain speed. Known issue by Ford, they dont care.
And, Was going to test drive a Ferrari, but, decided not to as it had the special 34000 dollar paint job, its the one on the left. Pista on right... I am not kidding, 34000 paint job.. LeFerrari for 4 million doesnt even come with seats. That is true, no seats. You are sitting on padding that looks like seats, yet you are part of the carbo fiber tub. Pedals, and steering wheel adjust to you. 4 Million.. Used. Just a dream to try to even get in one.

I rode in a new Ford Maverick FX4 2.0 Turbo I believe. It was uncomfortable as hell! Some of those in the earlier posts mentioned there wife's RAV4. My wife has one she bought new in 2009, 180K with the big power V6 3.5L in it, scoots around pretty nicely!

I rode in the back of the Maverick for about 50 miles, the back seats were uncomfortable. Not alot of leg room for a 6' man. It did have a lot of get up and go though...

Well.....yea. It's a mini truck. Even a Tacoma or Colorado is small in the back for a 6' man. I want to drive one. I'm trying to talk my dad into getting one and seems like a perfect little truck for him.

I like the looks and lines of the Cayman, even more than the 911.

Very good looking car.
The 911GT3 body is a little more aggressive in the front, making the 911 look better.. Otherwise, too round..

Agreed. there is just something "right" about the proportions. I didn't love the wing though. I'm not a wing guy except on a dedicated track car. In the event that hell freezes over and I can afford a Cayman GT4, I think I would take the wing off.

2022 hyundai tuscon. Test drove the limited. For 36k it is a lot of car for the money. Interior quality is top notch. Plus the hybrid was getting over 30+ mpgs

We had a 2017 Tucson it was a piece of shit. Engine stalls making turns, searching for gears so badly it wouldn't go forward, rolls back on hills, etc.

Service department at both dealers we took it too were a-holes. Was thrilled when Hyundai eventually bought that pile back from us.
I'll never own another Kia/Hyundai again b/c of that experience.

Wife wanted to get out of her VW, and with trade in allowances being what they are I went along with her wishes. Ended up with a Subaru Outback Touring that she is loving. It's OK, and better than the VW which had the potential to be a service hog soon. The Outback is comfortable, and the technology is good. We'll see what happens with the CVT. It performs well enough to keep the wife happy, which is all I can ask for.

Test drove my neighbors new Bronco, 2 door w the Sasquatch Package.

For a short wheel base sitting on a lift and 35” tires, it rode really well.

Plenty of power from the 2.7.

Being in a two door convinced me to go with a four door if I ever bought one.

Kia and Hyundai do an amazing job with packing in features for the money. Good warranty and really nice cars. Unfortunately, they are plagued with engine problems, especially the 4 cylinders. Main bearings, etc. The amount of them sitting on lots waiting on motors is insane. I had a 2011 Optima SX Turbo which I actually loved. Loaded up, great on gas, and pretty fun to drive, but ditched it at 75k miles. Glad I did before it had issues.

With that said, I'd buy a Telluride. I have a friend with an SX Nightshade and it is a REALLY nice vehicle. Also have another friend who just ditched his Hyundai Elantra after it's 3rd motor before 100k.

You'll start hearing issues with Telluride drive trains soon enough. I will never buy one of their cars again. Even if I hear that they have improved, their service departments are enough to never buy one. Kept telling us "that's how it's supposed to drive." ****ing prick.

Packing in features for money? I thought with recent pricing they clearly think they’re equal to or above luxury import and domestic automakers. $65k for a Telluride.

Todays pricing is not really a good judge of it though, especially on an almost impossible to get Telluride. I still always default to MSRP when comparing, which for a fully loaded AWD Telluride SX Nightfall w/ prestige package is just a hair over 50k which is what my friend paid 1.5 years ago before all this nonsense started. That's where most luxury crossovers start that don't have half of the features, like an Acura MDX, Lexus RX, etc. They are much better cars, however.

Take my same class VW Atlas SE as a comparison. I have an 8" screen with Apple Car play, LED headlights and Pleather seats and the sticker was $42k. Minimal tech and not even a power liftgate. His telluride has more tech than you could ever want, power everything, dual pane sunroof, suede headliner, Harmon Kardon Stereo, quilted/stitched/heated/cooled (F/R) nappa leather seats, heated steering wheel, heads up display, interior accent lighting, all the exterior accents and 20" wheels that come with the nightfall. All for about $51k.
