Having a hard time searching. Stereo change walkthrough?

My screwed up back is making it impossible to type. I have searched for about 45 minutes and can't find the right post I am trying to find that shows me the step-by-step of removing the entire console and factory stereo, and then hooking in an upgraded factory unit (going from non-JBL factory head unit to factory non-jbl navigation headunit (E7019). The backs supposedly are about the same.

If anybody can track down the walkthrough fastter than me I'd really appreciate it. I found something helpful before, but computer crashed and lost my links. Any help would be great. Then if I get some energy I can work in small spurts to see if the stereo will even work and what parts I will need to order to make it all work right.

Swamp-Rider.... you have made my day! Should everything be pretty much the same on a 2007 Sport? It looks quite similar. I know once I can get things apart, then going back together should be a snap for me. I am pretty handy if I have a diagram (I'm a very visual learner).

If there are any others out there that might show tiny differences on a later model please post them up, but I'm sure what SWAMP_RIDER gave me here is just perfect for my needs.

I owe you own (or ten!).

It's a straightforward but long process... much easier if you have plastic wedges to help unclip the various dash parts because some just do not seem to want to move.

I haven't felt well enough to do it yet. It looks like a similar process to the Pathfinder, which required pretty much taking apart the whole interior to get to the stereo.

What do you mean by plastic wedges? Like plastic tipped regular screwdrivers or something else? I have to go to to the hospital and have all 40 staples removed (YIKES!) but I might stop by the hardware store on my way home if my ride doesn't mind letting me go and truck around in one of those little electric scooters to pick up the proper tools and anything else I might need to hopefully tackle this in 15-20 minute increments over the next week or so.

That's the walkthrough I used when I put mine in.

It's a very straightforward and simple process. Take your time and you'll do fine.

I followed that step-by-step and found it really easy with no special tools required. Just go in order, and reverse to reassemble.
