Never got any traction in the main forum, but was hoping to ask this here.

Trying to move my 2013 Trail with 3" lift to Kauai (Hanalei to be exact) and the tires stick out just a tad beyond the OEM fender flares.

I've seen all sorts of posts about the legality of registering a lifted vehicle in Hawaii and was wondering if anyone in Kauai specifically could chime in if this would cause any problems for me?

That's kind of what I gathered seeing all sorts of vehicles with wheels way past the fenders here in Kauai.

I'm still debating shipping my Trail from CA to HI or just getting another truck. There's a place next to the Costco that sells lightly used lifted Tacos and 4Runners.

I've been wondering the same thing about any 4Runner groups out here in Oahu. I reside in Kailua and just got my Ka'ena Point Permit. Looking for anyone that wants to go meet out there!

Thank you! Yup! Around that area! Cool! I’m down to go Kaena! I went a few weeks ago with another friend who had a 2WD 4runner. He almost got stuck in the mud but made it out. LOL
