Haha ya we were pretty puzzled by the 2bolt bracket up front. We didn't really try to instal that day just saw that and scratched our heads. I cleaned them real well and sanded the rust off. Then I hit them with some spray on bed-liner. They'll do until I get sliders

i was pretty sure they had to fit but wasn't about to mess with it myself with a broken arm. they look good with the rustoleum bed liner job you did on them anyway, good work all

Baja Rack and Gobi Ladder clearance
Great looking rig! Your build is coming along nicely.
Any issues with the gobi ladder and baja utility rack? I'm going with the same setup once I get my baja rack delivered from the last group buy. I saw 1 post that showed the rack and ladder working together. Just wanted to see if that was still the case.

Thanks man! It appears that Baja adjusted it to where it sits forward more and allows for clearance of the gobi ladder because mine has about an inch of clearance.

Hahaha I know I know. I have actual camping stuff too. I bought this thing over 3 years ago and it gets the job done for car campin'. I want a roof top tent but my 60 lb vizslas must sleep with us.
Speaking of posers, the FJ crew I just happened upon all had rooftop tents but then pulled into a motel 6 :laugh:

You're more likely to get raped at Motel 6 than in a Roof Top Tent, so that's clearly what they were aiming for...
Dude, I want to like POLER, but they're based here in Portland, and everytime I give them a chance I just end up laughing my ass off and walking back to the REI next to my apartment (seriously the REI for Portland is 2 blocks from where I live). Sorry but making your tent plaid is not going to make me buy it over a NEMO or Big Agnes.

Nemo all day. I know their marketing dude and he made it rain gear on me last year but for this glamping trip I went with the poler 2P just bc its wide enough for an air mattress. Poler has gotten wayyyyy too goofy. I liked em 4 years ago but they haven't evolved like I thought they might. Definitely more lifestyle brand than actual gear brand.

Yesterday we drove from Marfa tx through New Mexico. Stopped at Walter Whites house and was run off by the old hag owner. Totally worth it for a few shots. I think I might rename my truck Walter.
Arrived in Durango Colorado late last night to a freakin snow storm. Staying at a family friends house near the lake and had to take a tiny, winding dirt road in the pitch black and dumping snow was definitely puckerworthy. But as expected the runner did its thang and we made it there without a hitch.
Today I woke up to some serious pow. It's like Christmas all over again.
