Hows it going. I'm actually not a 4runner owner, but I have a friend and her head gasket went out on her 96 I believe it is. And after doing a little snooping, I've come across the fact that its a recall item. I was just wondering if there are any restrictions on this. I.e. milage, original owner. Neither of those should matter though, but I would just like to know, in case there is any way to save her some money, which she is desperately short on. Also does this require resurfacing of the Head or, is it just a simple replacement. I'm more than mechanically inclined, but I don't have the equipment to resurface heads. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
