I was just reading through some of the old threads and saw something about the 94's 3.0 v6 having a recall on the head gasket. Did i read this right? And how do i find out if this needs to be done on mine.

Call your local dealer with your vin #. Thay can tell you if the gasket has ever been replaced. I believe their is a mileage limit. I have a 22re so don't the details. There is also a steering rod recall that you can ask about. They replaced mine when I had 250000 kms.
