So the other day I just looking under the hood and checking over everything when I looked into the antifreeze overflow.... when i pulled out the rubber tube it had a brown residue on it (oil) we immediately thought the worst, so we went to advance auto and got stuff to flush the fluids and what not but when we drained the antifreeze from the radiator, it looked perfect as if it was just changed. Well, then it dawned on us that it has a new radiator on it (previous owner installed) probably within the past couple of months so we talked to our mechanic about it and he said often a new radiator has stuff in it to prevent it from rusting.. so we put new antifreeze in it for precautionary reasons (we couldve put what we drained back in because it looked perfect but we didnt). And I've been checking the antifreeze religiously the past couple days and it seems to be great. The vehicle has 177,xxx miles on it but its been running and idling fine, and getting really solid gas millage. We had a '95 that blew heads three times so this is not a new problem for us, but I'm wondering if any one else has had this?
