I have a 2005 4Runner Sport Ed. with a V8. I have had all of the routine maintainence done and actually just had the oil changed, new brakes, Fuel Injectors cleaned etc about a week ago. It was running fine yesterday but this morning when I started it up, it spewed smoke, kind of smelled like gas, and idles roughly. The check engine and VSC and a couple of other lights came on. Lke I said, Fine yesterday. It did rain hard last night, but I didn't drive it at all. Chekced the oil and it looks fine, no frothy or anything. My buddy seems to think that it's a blown head gasket or O2 sensors. Anyone have any idea? I had it towed back to the dealership but they haven't looked at it yet.
Resolved: Apparenlty there was an issue with the injectors throwing a code that jacked everything up (in a nutshell). They cleaned the injectors last week so I blame it on them. Grr!
