Head Gaskets-I think

I think I'm in trouble.

MY beast turned over 210,000 last week. Last Monday, I was driving in I-40 in the booinies and all of a sudden my temp went to HOT. I immediately turned off the engine and moved to the shoulder. The steam immediately started to billow from beneath the hood.

I opened the hood to let it cool off, and after a couple hours, poured a bottle of water into the radiator, and at a about 5 hmp along the shoulder moved until I reached some workers.

I got towed to town and got a new radiator. My head gaskets were replaced in 1998, so I figured they were still good.

Picked her up friday, and its like driving a different car. No power going up hill, gets hot going too long too fast, and it has a new sound. I can't describe it any better than that.

I have limited cash at hand. If it is the head gaskets, should I invest the money, or trade iff while its still in semi0decent running condition? Or should I try and to the job my self? I mostly work on my bug, so this job would be the biggest I've ever done.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
