I recently picked up a 2010 4Runner and am having some issues with my stereo. I had a lifetime subscription to Sirius in my previous truck and it cannot be transferred over to the XM receiver. So I need to get a new head unit that is Sirius capable. I looked into unplugging the current XM unit and replacing it with a Sirius one but the orange backlighting on the stock stereo has to go. I can barely read it when it is light outside and can't read it at all when my sunglasses are on. (Yes, I have adjusted the lighting inside the car to try and make it better.)
I took it to an audio shop and he basically said good luck getting a double din in there because of how close everything is. I realize that everything may not be out yet to make this happen but thought y'all might have some suggestions or maybe even know some things that are in the works. Thanks in advance for the help.
