Header for auto tranny, 22re

hey guys, don't get the impression there are too many gen 1 guys (cool truck body w/ removable top) here, but here goes.
My 89 Gen 1 has the infamous 22re, which I love but is doggy. Doing homework for header. Almsot bought a Doug Thorley, but tech said its only for 5 spd - bellhousing of auto tranny is in the way.
Was wondering if anybody here had found one that works for this style/engine, preferably in the tri-Y style.

Try Downeyoffroad.com They have alot Toys for your Toy.

The 22r is a great engine may not produce a ton of HP but it is bullet proof. The automatic tranny hurts you. I had the fuel injected 22R in a 90 4X4 pickup but I had the 5 spd.

Gen 1 are great I wish I had your solid front axle.

Thanks, I'll give 'em a call. their web site dosn't specify whether their headers have outlets etc for o2 sensors and the like.

btw, I have IFS, no solid front axle - they switched to IFS on 4Runners in '86... this is a popular swap for the hard-core off-roaders.
To me the best part of 'em is the removable top - catches a lot of attention during teh summer...

There website does suck,They are a great source for aftermarket Toyota truck stuff though, hopefully they will have a header for you.

I thought all the Gen 1 4runners had the solid axle.....see you learn something new everyday.
