So work has me Flying into Phoenix, then driving to Tuscon, San Diego, Los Angeles and Vegas. I have been to Vegas but nowhere else. I would love to see high points of the area and great food. I will have some days to venture off and would love to get out exploring and hiking!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Coming out soon? It's going to be hot! If you have the time between LA and Vegas, you could head up into the mountains - Bear Mountain is a great little mountain town with a lake that offers lots of hiking and some rental-friendly wheeling.
If you have a little more time on that trip, you could head up to Death Valley. Even in the heat, there's lots to see that doesn't require venturing too far from your rental's a/c. I wouldn't take a rental off road in DV though, especially in the summer.

Don't go to death valley in the summer. Most of the good stuff is off highway and you don't want to be out there in those lethal temps.

Mammoth would be worth it and that is only 2 hrs from death valley.

Flagstaff and Sedona are awesome as a well.

I fly into Phoenix on Sunday and drive to Tuscon, depending on time I will either stay in Tuscon on Sunday or drive to Yuma and get a hotel. That way I am driving roughly 3 hrs to San Diego on Monday.

So did you get a 4Runner as a rental!?
Or is that in the upgrade category that most companies dont allow..lol.
I know there hard to come by as well as rental.

I get to pick what I want when I get there so if they do have a 4Runner I most defiantly will get that :reddance: But when I return it it may need to go to the body shop!!!!!:lookout:

Our company has a corporate deal with the rental company and when we rent we get to pick whatever vehicle they have in stock at that location!!

how do you defiantly rent a car?

What a diiick!!

He knows what you were saying..lol. He was bustin your nutz ..for using "defiantly" when you really meant... definitely.
So now I expect nothing less from you than a 4Runner when you leave the car rental company or defiantly put your foot down until they get you one.
