Headlight and LED questions

Hello guys, do any of you note a slight difference between driver and passenger side low-beam headlight pattern in your 4rnrs?

It can be seen more drastically in the image bellow with the LED bulbs(whiter ones). The driver side beam seems more focused with a brighter center, while the passenger side seems all over the place.

Also, these LED are the Hikari LED conversion kit, the one that goes for $37 in amazon, and it does not look brighter the normal halogens, has any of you had any luck with the "cheaper" LED brands? I also tried the expensive Hikaris, but those had the wider fan that wouldn't allow me to properly seat the bulb.

New Hikari Titanova

Anyone tried fitting and using the new Titanova 30k lumen set in a 5th gen? They have both H11’s and 9005’s.

Which kit did you get? I bought these and have zero complaints. Night and day difference. I think with the cheaper kits there's issues with the diode placement which can cause issues you're seeing. Some of more pricey kits address that.

Hikari's are very adjustable, especially the latest Titanova. I managed to adjust mine right out of the socket/connector. So far, a little clear RTV got it loose and I was able to set that connection back and get a new & correct alignment. A tiny panic moment but easy fix. Maybe a slight design change is needed.

I might suggest, checking the "Horizontal/Vertical" adjustment of your low-beam lens bezels, before swapping to a different brand of lamps; may get expensive doing that!

I've been using a "Opt-7 HID" low-beam system since 2015 with N/Ps since their installation!!

This topic has been discussed extensively and the net net is that there is no "easy way" to do headlight lighting properly. You either have to pay up or invest time to come up with a good solution.

Drop in LED bulbs in a projector housing designed for omnidirectional lighting is never going to work well as your results have shown. Light distribution is always going to be poor even if it appears "brighter" against a wall or if you have more useless foreground lighting.

You really have three options (Ordered by preference):
1. Retrofit a proper Bi-LED or HID projector into your existing housing.
2. Purchase a complete headlight replacement from Morimoto: XB LED V2.0
3. Purchase a OEM Bi-LED Headlight Housing

Agree because I too believe those may be the best options but aren’t really feasible for everyone. All 3 can be really pricey but are great options if you have a good bit of cash to drop just on headlights. Otherwise, I can say I’ve had some good (and mediocre) luck with LEDs. I think you’d probably agree that 90% of success is getting the correct bulb/LED aim in the reflector. I can say these latest Hikari’s are surprisingly good. Cutoff is good. A tiny adjustment but mainly because my rig is loaded down and I’ve not done it before. The light output is incredible and they actually fit the same as my previous SNGL’s which worked okay but didn’t come close in output.
So, I’d say if you’re planning to do LEDs then plan on spending the cash to try a few different options. It’ll still be way less than some very cool Morimoto’s. ��
Btw, I have to ask your thoughts on new omnidirectional LEDs hitting the market now?

A retrofit of a Bi-LED projector would cost about $450 and an afternoon to do. Which is cheaper than some of those "High End" drop in LED bulbs that I've seen. The only difference is you get great results.

While many drop in LEDs bulbs try to mimic omnidirectional light I haven't seen one that actually accomplishes it well. Then there is the also fact that the halogen projector itself isn't a great design so you will be working with that limitation too.
