Since you'll be replacing those lamps, this might be a good chance to do a little experiment with your old units. You could use different methods to clean the lens then leave them out in the sun for the winter to see which method works best.
As an example, I've seen Youtube video of folks using bug repellant as a cleaner, and it works, however only short term.

Has anyone used these or know of a better quality version? These dont get the best reviews I like how the housing is black.

I got the tail lights from Depo. I've been happy with them, but I did add some extra sealant to make sure they would not leak.
I got my head lights from CarID, the Spyder model. I also added extra sealant to these and they have no leaks or cracks. However, I do have 2 concerns. First, the bulbs did not fit as snug as on the OEM housings. Not sure if that is a design flaw on all of them or just mine. I just cut an o-ring and used that to tighten up the fit. Second, after over a year of use, there is some kind of coating that is chipping off the glass. It looks fine otherwise, and I've bought some head light restore stuff to use on it, if I ever get around to trying it.

stick some of that sealant into the groove all the way around the head lamp. use some clamps and close it back up. look up my head lamp retrofit for an idea what i'm talking about. thats all it takes

I dry one of mine out after every time I go to an automatic carwash. It's in good condition, but I guess the seal leaks a little. Not worth re-sealing in my opinion, but I think there is a DIY for that somewhere.
To dry it out, I just pull out a couple of the amber bulbs (turn signal, DRL, parking. Why are there so many?) and let it sit in the sun on a dry day. If that's not enough, put a small computer fan under the hood pointing into the housing while a couple bulbs are out.
