Headlight Issues

So after I got some water build up in my headlights, I decided I am going to disassemble them and reseal them. I want to paint the part around the reflective bowl either black or gunmetal. What is everyone's opinion on this? I think it will look cool, I just want to know everyone's opinion. Also what color should I use. Prefferably gunmetal or a shade of black. My 4Runner is Imperial Jade Mica.

I say go for it. Gun metal would look pretty good I think. Or even color match it to the truck might. Would be a unique look.

Gun metal will look sweet. Just be careful not to paint over to much of the reflective backing or else your light output will suffer. Gl!

If you're baking and cracking the seal, you might as well do a projector retrofit since half the work is already done!
