Headlight on chime

Every vehicle I've owned had a chime when the headlights were left ON. My 2008 4R doesnt seem to have this and I can't find mention of it in the owners manual which doesn't do a great job anyway (in a previous job, known as Japenglish).

Can others confirm the 4Rs don't have this? (or is mine malfunctioning?)

The manual does say the timeout for the headlights in position 2 (manual ON) or 3 (AUTO) and door is left open is 30 minutes, which is adjustable by the dealer. Anyone know this procedure?

Yeah no chime..they just turn off on their own...as you posted as long as you have your doors closed it won't take long...also you can hit your "arm" button on the remote twice and your lights will go off right away.

I just leave mine on "auto" anyway...only time I turn them on manually is when it's too bright for the auto sensor to turn them on but I want them on (ie hard rain).

Mine doesn't chime either.

To adjust the duration the of the auto-off, you'll need to visit the dealer. It's under the C-BEST (customizeable body electronics system) settings which the dealer will use a scan tool to set. There are a host of other settings they can adjust. Some dealers will charge for C-BEST changes, others will do the first change free as a courtesy.
