Hey guys I have a 4th Gen 2003 so I have the “lamer” headlights in my opinion. Lol was looking to see if anyone has replaced their headlights recently and has not had to seal them before install? Seems like an overkill having to fix a new part I just bought. So I’m looking to see if anyone can recommend me headlights that have worked and have remained sealed after buying them. When I see reviews on Amazon I see a lot of leaking and condensation complaints. If not I may look into upgrading to the later year headlights but to do that would I just need that trim piece under the headlight? Or does it take more of a modification to convert them?

Pretty much anything aftermarket you are going to want to seal before you install for a safe bet. Only ones that I have heard of that don't condensate inside are new OEM
Hey! I have an 04 SE 4WD. Same problem with the "lamer" headlights. I converted to the 06-09 Projector housings and I've been very happy with the sharp cutoff and better lighting. Here is the link to the tutorial here on T4R: How to do the 03->06 Headlight Swap.
Its complete with a list of the steps, parts, and tools needed to be successful. You'll need new bulbs, a pair of harnesses, the trim pieces under the lights and new housings. If you're patient, you can find used housings for good prices (found mine for $50 shipped).
