headlight seal question

hey guys, I just picked up an 05 4runner limited that the previous owner had installed the new style (06-09) headlight assemblies and has also added hid (xenon) bulbs.
the problem is the black rubber seal ring boot around the bulb/socket are dried out and fallen apart. I am worried the water and moister will get into the headlight due to the poor sealing. is it possible to get the seal? if so is it available from the dealer or maybe someone has a link to them.
thanks

Toyota does not list a separate part # for that specific piece, which basically means that you would have to purchase the entire headlamp assembly:

That being said, can't you just fabricate a couple from thick sheet rubber or industrial neoprene?

well thats upsetting that its not offered from toyota. is it possible seals from a different car will fit? maybe a tacoma or a camry?

Maybe, but again, do you think that those seals will be available separately, unlike the 4Runner? The other option is to hit a junkyard. If it were me, I would just fabricate my own.

the reason I asked about the other cars that might fit, is because for some reason on ebay I see that for the corolla and camry someone is selling those type seals. I cant find any for the 4runner though

I also have a couple of extra headlights lying around but they are from 06+ headlights. Not sure if the seal is the same for 05 and 06.

I have one i cant find the other one atm ill keep looking if you want shoot me a pm and arrange shipping it to you

they should be he says they are the newer 06-09 style i assume the factory project ones correct?

And just to make sure OP you are referring to the big round rubber piece correct

I have one that I can send to you, combine with the one from Code2, you should have a pair. Just to confirm, you only need the rubber sealant for the low beam and not the high beam?

Let me know if you still want it.

the rubber seals i am looking for are shown to the right in the photo. I dont see how an oring would seal the large opening. also does the hid headlight bulb/wiring look oem or aftermarket? im am thinking its not oem.
