Headlights go out

I was driving back from Ventura last nite and my headlights kept shutting off. Seemed like it occured after hitting a dip or bump in the road. I would flick the switch to high beam n they'd come back on. Also whenever using the turn signal it cancels and goes to brights. The whole stalk seems jiggly. My 85s is firm and never does this and its got nearly 300k miles. Do I need to replace this or can it be tightened up? I cant seem to find a way to do it. Anybody experience this problem and how did u fix it? Thanks

Your combination switch may be wearing out.

Thank u sir for the info. I read it and it refers to a hi-beam issue where as mine is solely a low-beam problem. It has good info on pulling it apart so it looks like I have a project for my 88 RNR this wknd. Fun!
