Headphones

So the gf and I were discussing Christmas presents. Well aside from weathertech all weather mats, I really don't want anything within her price range. To be completely honest I don't want her to buy me anything seeing how she needs to pay for student loans and all that jazz. Anyways, she thinks all weather mats are a lame present (agreed) and wants to get me something else. So I was thinking about some headphones for my iPod. I'd really like to get some either on ear or around ear headphones w/ noise cancellation. Preferably for under $100.

I prefer in ear phones as i use my ipod for many outdoor activities and over ear dosnt work well for me. The Shure products are terrific and also very durable.

I really wanted a noise canceling over the ear or on the ear headphones for the trip to see my brother stand on the sidelines for the Michigan State in Florida in December (Hopefully at the Capital One Bowl).

As you can see from this site http://store.shure.com/DRHM/servlet...oryID=13677700&pgm=14806300&OfferID=928498309 those 110s have sound isolating. I have the 210s and they rock! I don't hear anything on the plane and they sound better than Bose - which suck IMVHO. I've read mixed reviews on Dre's headphones. The only ones better than Shure are the Ultimate Ears but they are pretty expensive.

Yea, the Shure phones are sound isolating and trust me, you cant hear much external noise as long as you fit them with the right size earpieces. They comes with multiple sizes.

For the price they are a great deal. That link i set with the coupon is basically half the list price as 6th ave already has good prices on them.

to each their own, but in the audiophile world Bose is generally frowned upon as very overpriced for the quality you get. I know plenty of loyal Bose owners, but there is much better bang for your buck out there.

I really don't have much experience w/ Bose, but my old roommate got the really expensive $300+ wireless Bose jobers and they were pretty nice. As for Bose home theater, I love the sound of the system, but for half the price, I got the Klipsch Quintet home theater system, and absolutely love it. I also bought the 10" Sub and a Pioneer receiver, don't know the exact model of the receiver off the top of my head.

I think Bose is more looks than performance.

From someone who I know that sold home audio, including Bose, this was Bose's slogan... "If it don't got highs and it don't got lows, it's gotta be Bose."

I was a non believer of the BeatsbyDre headphones. But those suckers are super clear, noise cancelling is very effective and they can easily double as speakers and maintain clarity.
