Headroom for dog

Searched but wasn't able to find. Trying to figure out what the difference in height from the floor of the cargo area to the roof is between the standard cargo area and with folded 3rd row seats. I saw a comment that the 3rd row adds about 5-6" when folded, but I'm curious what the floor to ceiling dimension is for each.

Thanks

I have a Dogo Argentino (Argentinian Mastiff) who's very tall and he fits fine (I also have the cargo slider). Dogo Argentino

The headroom and rear rolldown was the only reason we ended up buying a 4Runner. Trust me, unless you have a Bernaise Mountain Dog or Newfoundland the dog will fit comfortably. Large Dog Breeds

Thanks for the feedback guys. Our dog is a normal sized Golden Retriever so I'm not really concerned, was just wondering how much space I was going to give up with the 3rd row option. He's about 36" tall when standing so with the 3rd row option he might be a little cramped based on the 42" floor to roof measurement noted in the link. He's really comfortable in the back of our LX470, was just wondering how much I was going to sacrfice with the 4runner.

I have a 81 lb German Sheperd/ retriever mix and he seems to be comfortable in the back! The only thing I need to figure out is how to have him stay put when I take turns! Every time I take a turn and I hear a mad scrambling sound at the back!

you need to invent some doggy seat belts

I have a 2010 SR5 with 3rd row seat. The measurement is 31-3/8" at the opening and 34-1/4" at the highest point. I also have the cargo area carpet, which is maybe 1/4" thick.
