Headroof much better w/out a sunroof?

I've test driven quite a few 4-Runners and have found the head room to be ok, but could be slightly better. I was just wondering if I were to purchase a 4-Runner w/out a sunroof, is there more headroom?

I recently bought an '04 with a sunroof, and headroom has not been a problem. I sit fairly tall (6'3", 30" inseam, i.e., looong torso).

For me, the real issue is where your eyes end up in relation to the windshield. If it sit up bone straight, I am looking out just below the tint at the top of the windshield.

My head is not hitting the roof at that point, but I don't care for the visibility with my eyes that high.

So I sit with the seat reclined a few notches. The one reason I wish I had gotten a model with the telescoping steering wheel.

Looking at the truck, I think Toyota could have made the windshield another inch or so taller without changing the roof height. Not sure why they did that.

Too many short people where the designers live?

I haven't tried one without the sunroof. I'm 6'4" (34" inseam) and have no headroom problem. There have been posts of complaint from some others my height - don't recall the inseams. Like the previous poster, I like to recline the seat a bit. I also set the back of the seat cushion to its lowest position

I found there to be more room in the one without the sunroof. Plus the rear passengers don't have the hump in the roof where the glass slides back into. It seemed like whenever you would lean forward (as a rear passenger) you had to duck your head.

FYI, there has been previous posts about this already.

With that said, I am 6,2, and found if you adjust the seat to a comfortable position, headroom really isn't much of an issue.

I am 6' 1'' and I have the seat pretty high up. I do not have a problem with head room. It is a little close, but I never bumped my head while driving or anything like that.
