Heated seats in Limited, are they lacking?

Turned on the heated seats in my Limited this past weekend and they seemed a bit lacking compared to heated seats I've had in the past. Seemed to really get hot on the back of my legs and that's about it. Rest of the seat was barely warm. Curious what others experience was. Maybe this is normal, maybe there is something wrong with my seats?

I have them in my SR5 - Mine heat my 'tush' perfectly - actually if it up all the way it is way too hot. I use mine every now and then, wife uses them almost every time in the 4R and she loves them. Neither one of us have an issue with them heating too far forward (legs, etc).

Same here.....in our SR5. Very comfy.

Mine work great as well I only with they extended up the back of the seat like most other heated seats do now.

These are the first heated seats that I have had. The temperature these past few mornings have been in the teens and low 20's. The heated seats in my SR5 are the best thing ever. Keep the sliced bread!

The seat heaters warm up better and faster than on my Pathfinder LE.

The heated seats in my Limited work okay, but don't get as warm as those in my wife's VW Jetta. I've come to the conclusion they just take a little longer to warm up and won't get as warm as those in the Jetta. That's okay though as the seats in the Jetta can "toast your buns" if you leave them on the highest setting!:moon:

No complaints here. Mine are very warm and have been used quite often these last few days. Mmmm.. Toasty..

I love mine, work better than my BMW ones.

I was just going to reply that they don't work as good as the BMW 2006 330xi seats that we have. The BMW heats the seat and lower back quickly and uniformly.

The 4Runner ones are fine, they just heat only under the butt. Someone told me that the seat temp is regulated by outside temp. I don't know if that is true but when we tried them in September when I bought the 4R they didn't seem as powerful as they are now. I am surprised at how quickly the whole truck warms up and defrosts.
