Heated seats question

Anyone else have the port installed heated seats option?

I've noticed on ours, the seat back gets warm but not the bottom cushion. Is this how they're supposed to work? I thought this was odd and would expect the bottom to warm up as well, but I'm not sure what proper operation is.

I think there are 2 different types depending on whether you have an SR5, Sport or Limited. On my SR5, I have a 3 position switch for each seat. One position is for back only (or seat, can't remember which) and one position for both back and seat. The 3rd position is the "off" position. I'm not sure about the other type of switch. There should be a card about your seat heaters with your owners manual.

On my '03 Limited I have a switch to control how hot the seats get, but both the back and seat get hot together.

On my '05 Limited, my seats don't seem to get all that hot and I have the switch on the highest setting. The bottom of my seat is the part that gets the hottest and my seatback just gets warm.
