Heated seats wiring - help

Can some one pass on the wire colors that you tap into when hooking up the aftermarket heated seat kit? I believe that the green goes to the small white with a blue stripe. Does the red go to the blue or the purple wire?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I have a '06 SR5 and have installed the Rostra kit 250-1759.

There are three wires red (power) green accessory (trigger) and black (ground). The instructions outlined the wires to tap into on the harnesses in the driver's foot well. I have done the searches and found some great pics but I can't tell which wires have been tapped. I don't have a multi meter and was hoping that someone could pass the info that originally came with the 4runner kit.

I emailed mnrelestronics and got back - "red is power and black is ground".... nice

Thanks for any help

Steve

the wire colors i have are for the ignition harness (the group of wires coming from the ignition)

your red power wire (aka +12v) gets connected to white/blue OR red (thick gauge wires)

green accessory (acc) gets connected to green/black

ground you need to just get a ring terminal and screw it to bare unpainted (or grind off some paint) and use a self-tapper and a star lock washer

oh and PLEASE go to sears or something and pick up a cheap $20 multi-meter it will save a few thousand dollar mess-up when you (well if) accidentally tag an airbag or ECU wire :-/

Excellent - thanks for your help on this!

I'm in Stuttgart so Sears is a long way away to get a multimeter. I'm off to OBI (the German Sears) to pick one up. Very good advice.
