heater fan speed

i have searched but couldn't find my exact problem. when i put my fan on low it works fine the next speed is faster but then the 3rd and high setting it gets slower. If it was the resistor i would have full high but issues with the other speeds. Is it possibly just the switch itself? I have a spare resistor but i can't figure away to get the one screw out closest to the firewall.

That would be your resistor, Just replaced mine and now all my speeds work

how do you get the one screw out? i thought that if you had a bad resistor your high speed would work? mine is very slow like it is on low speed on high?

well all my speeds work just the high speed setting is slower then position 2????

That doesn't make sense, you're right high should work OK.
The switch could possibly be bad, you'll have to get a meter and check the switch and wiring out.

yes everything i have read says if the resistor is bad then high should always work....i have a spare switch but how do i remove the old one????

well i got the spare switch in and it fixed the problem just to let all know.

Thats good, and yeah my low just didn't work and with my new resistor the high seems to be faster and where did you get your new switch?

i got it off ebay. while i was putting in the fan switch i noticed that the a/c panel light doesn't light up luckly before i put it all together i will check the bulb does anyone know off hand what bulb i need? also my factory cd/tape/radio display isn't working now just coincidence? the radio plays but you can't see to set the eq or station obvioiusly any ideas???
