Heater issues

I have a '92 V6 automatic and last week my blower stopped working. Figured that the blower was just old and needed to be replaced, but a few days later it randomly started to work. It will stop working and randomly start again. I am very new to forums and well, working on vehicles in general. Any info would be appreciated. I understand that it can be a relay issue, a connection issue but am unsure as to where to look and what I am looking for. Help?

When it works, do all the speeds work? If so, that rules out the resistor pack (a common failure point). The next things to look at would be the blower speed switch or the heater relay.

Yes, all of the speeds work, with the exception of the middle speed, but that one never worked for me in the first place. Where can I find the relay or the speed switch? Thanks!

The speed switch is the control you use to turn the blower Off/On/Lo/Hi.
The blower relay is located behind the glove box.

I had a friend look behind the glovebox but he didn't find a relay. Can you give me a better description or even post a picture of the location? He is more savvy with fixing vehicles than I am, but he is lost. Thanks!
