Heavyweight rear hatch struts?

Has anyone found struts for the rear hatch to upgrade after adding sound dampening and speakers?

I see the ones listed on Amazon, but they have mixed review's.

I put on the Gobi that came with the roof rack. They work fine, I have a lot of weight on the rear hatch. The Amazon ones seem like they would do the job well at a quick glance, plus a lot cheaper than Gobi.

Bought these for my 4th gen and they were great. Stand back the first time you open the hatch or you might take an unexpected uppercut!

I've been using these from Amazon for 2.5 years.

Zero issues, but I have nothing on my hatch.

It takes a bit of effort to get them down the first few times but no complaints here beside my GF not being able to reach the hatch to close it LOL

I know a few people who uses these for their GOBI or C4 Ladders and it works great.
