Yah what made it easier for me was it was parked at my parents house. Ins adjuster told me when I was ready to have it towed just call em. So if it happens to you and you have family or friends willing to allow the wreck in their driveway to remove your mods, do it. It was my bad for assuming ins company would give me more for the mods. At least I got my mats and cargo cover tho!

Great move & advise towing damaged vehicle, to parents house.

PS - One always wants to keep accident vehicle, out of a compound yard.
- incurring $85/day storage fees
In case one buys the vehicle back, off the insurance company.

Happened to my brother, after he hit a deer , with Jeep Wrangler / it was totaled.
- he purchased TJ off his Insurance Company, for estimated auction value plus payed storage fees & tow truck expences
- brother always kept his vehicle ownership / never did hand paperwork over to Ins. adjuster
- was able to keep his totaled TJ wreck (bent frame) off CarFax and had front end pulled laser straight & restored
- after a ton of negotiating, Insurance cut my brother a cheque for $11,000.
- competent repairs were farmed out, for half that amount / we sourced all parts & found the 30 yr. Frame Technician
Difference was profit, for owner.

Was your brother's TJ paid for when he hit the deer?
Yeah i should have removed my tires and rims since it was parked but parents live about 3 hours away and at time i was just too tired and sore to do anything. Hindsight is 20/20 amirite?
