Hella 500 wiring question

Got all my eBay and Amazon purchases in the mail today so it's time to install the Hella 500's. The supplied wiring diagram is pretty crappy, and I want to be able to turn them on at any time, or at least when I have my parking lights on. The wiring diagram included shows how to connect them to the low beams, which is not the route I want to follow. I have looked for the method on how to do this, but most of the links that supposedly have good information are broken. Does anybody know of a link of a writeup that could point me in the right direction?

Thanks, I looked there, but this is for an aux fues box. The links don't work (I want option 2 (Green wire to parking lamp wire: driving lights can be used anytime the parking lamps are active)

If I knew which wire was the parking lamp wire I'd be in business if I follow the rest of the directions correctly I guess

id recommend tossing the wire it comes with and get some good 14ga wire ... now if you wanna turn the lights on with the parking lights well the wire is behind the fuse box its a pita .... or just run a wire from the switch to the corner light and tap into it there follow this just take the green wire from the switch and tap into the hot wire on the parking light

For mine, I tapped the wire to one of the parking lights, i think it has to be the positive one. Just test one of the two wires coming from whichever lamp you choose to use. Works great! Where are you mounting them?

That's what I wanna do. Do you have a picture of where you tapped the wire to the parking lights? I am going to mount them on the bumper

I wired up my 500's the way you're saying you want to. i was having trouble so i asked and here's the link/ the wiring diagram may be helpful but the connections are not drawn correctly (why i was asking a question). if you read the posts you'll figure out how to do it properly... i had the relay wires wrong and possibly the switch (don't remember)

I'm about to start working on it like you suggested, but how did you find that one pic? I click the link for that picture on www.4runner.org but it's broken. That's option 2 and I wanna do it via option 1. Thanks

Pics as promised. How the hell do you take a good picture at night? I guess a 7.0 megapixel camera just won't cut it these days

The second picture makes the lights look offset but I took the picture at an awkward angle to get the least amount of glare possible
