I finally got around to installing my Hella 500s on my front bumper. First of all thank you to IronClad Lou and others who thought of this good idea first.
The whole process could have not been made more difficult however. Everything went wrong today when I accidentally left one of the lamps in Lowes. I didn't realize I had until I got all the wiring done and one lamp attached to the bumper.
I went back to Lowes and the cashier said he took the assembly back to the break room. When he went to get it, it was gone...again. After about an hour of looking around the manager agreed to either find the lamp or pay me for a replacement.
As the 4Runner could not drive due to the disconnected battery and wires everywhere, I waited for about an hour and drove all the way across town to purchase the replacement. (Two lamps, and the whole relay, etc) As I got into my car, I called Lowes to tell them to get their money ready. Sure enough he said that he had watched the security video and found out who had, "mistakenly taken" the lamp from the breakroom.
Long story short, I got the lamp back, finished the assembly, and now...there is a baby bird sleeping on my tire and I can't go screw with my new lights. Oh well, maybe tomorrow I will take them out and take pictures. In the mean time, here is the bird that's stopping me from playing tonight.
