Hella Micro De

I had my Hella Micro De for a while until a few years back when my dog decides to chew through the wiring harness.

Ever since then, I haven't used my micro de..

Now, I would like to replace it with a new set of Micro De's.

I was wondering have any of you guys ran yellow h3 bulbs through it? or should I retrofit some xenon hid h3 bulbs into it?

What would you guys recommend ? or should I leave it with the stock h3 bulbs in it?

Also, what site would you guys recommend buying through?

Tirerack? or ?

they have a kit made for our 4runners. just ordered a kit and it was real easy to do. the kit your looking at from amazon has different brackets and it would probaly be easier to just order the right set. its a 154.00. if you look on ebay you might be able to find it cheaper. as for changing the bulbs i just put in a
3000k hid kit.

That said, I did replace my bulbs with Hella H3 bulbs the last time I had one go out:

I used Hella Yellowstar bulbs (H3's) in my Micro DE's before I scrapped them. They did okay, but if you have the cash definitely upgrade to some type of PnP HID kit for the fogs. The Micro DE's are awful at keeping water out. I ended up ditching them for amber Hella 500's on the bumper.
