Really satisfying to get this going at last. I have had the LEDs a few months now and Hella bugging me to get them some pictures of the finished product. I think I am too late to make the latest catalog, but here is how it turned out.

I was like you Justin-I never thought I would be cutting a hole in the fenders like this but it was just not that difficult at all.

It lets people know that are beside the truck of your intentions, too many people just don't pay attention these days...

Drilled out most of the drivers side last evening and hoping to finish up that side's hole tonight. One of the more rewarding mods I have done so far.

Really rewarding project. Total cost under $40. Big assist to Lowe's and Harbor Freight just like many of these projects.

Good job! I agree people really hardly pay attention to others on the road these days. Pick yourself up some TRD center caps. Truck is comming a long way.
Did you ever think about putting big LED orange markers in side of the front bumper?

I have 2 good caps and 2 kind of crappy looking ones. I think I will just run without caps for a bit...

Here is a shot of the orange lit turn signals up front-they are not LED but mickwheeler over on yota tech pointed these out to me.

Lilly always sticking her nose in... I will get a nite shot soon.

Nice work Ron. I'll be doing this mod soon. In Australia (and almost every other country in the world) all vehicles must have side indicators and I still find it annoying and surprising that North America does not. Red turn signals is another NA stupid idea that I still find hard to get used to.

I'll be in AU next month and plan to grab a set of Hilux side signals from a junk yard.

yah I waited and waited to lessen the shock...

steeze there's a dude in Japan wants your TJM...over on yota tech.

yah true totally free included the BFGs... it rides so much nicer now, and the KOs are practically bald...well one of em anyways.

I did the same thing but used the LED side markers from a 2005 VW beetle. This is what it looks like installed.

Also I have the entire install write up and literally take you by the hand on the installation at this link on YotaTech. I call mine "Mods for Dummies". Ron can vouch for my installs.

I usually try to use stuff from other vehicles, very rare I use something "new". Anyway nice job Ron,:bravo: wanted to come over to this side of the pond to see if I could find out some more stuff about some of my pending repairs/mods. Look for more postings here too:boxer:
