Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is John (also on here as JWaldz) and I represent Hefty Fabworks in Colorado Springs, CO. We are currently looking to become a vendor here on T4R. We currently offer aluminum and steel armor for 4th and 5th Gen 4Runners as well as for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen Tacomas. We also offer other Truck/SUV armor and are a full fabrication shop for custom designs. We've been in the offroad fabrication industry for 8 years and are steadily adding new products for the Toyota community.

Yes, 3rd gen stuff is coming but it's not high on the list at the time. Need to get the lead times down and newer vehicle products developed first!

We have a mock up set sitting on the shop floor They just need to be finalized. We've done a set before, but we wanted to dial them in a little more. They'll look identical to the 5th gen sliders, aside from the mounting. They'll still be 100% bolt-on.

I'm digging both those front and rear bumpers. Do you have the weights for them in steel and aluminum?

• Steel: 145lbs
• Aluminum: 59lbs

5th Gen 4Runner Rear

• Steel: 135lbs / with single carrier 175lbs
• Aluminum: 48lbs / with single carrier 63lbs

+/- a couple lbs.

Thanks! Wow, that's a massive difference in weight. I think for my uses aluminum would be a no brainer. Bumpers are a ways down my to-do list (although a winch mount would be nice...) but these are at the top of my list, especially since you're in the area.

It is a very big weight difference. Our aluminum bumpers are designed and engineered in such ways that with the size/type we use and structural integrity of them, we have absolutely NO doubt that they hold up as well as a steel bumper in most aspects. Plus, no rust :thumb3:
