Firstly, thank you all for the wealth of knowledge I've gained just by lurking the forums before registering.
I'm new to Las Vegas, NV - Originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I drive a 2000 SR5 thats nearing 250k.
I'm also new to 4Runners. I traded a VW GTI for my Runner shortly before leaving Ohio. However, since moving west, I've developed a fascination with rocks and deserts and mountains... I've taken the truck off roading a few times, and I thought I was having fun. That is, until I opened the picture threads on this forum, and realized I havent even scratched the surface. I blame t-4r.org for my new found obsession. I dont know the first thing about REAL wheeling, but I'm gon learn.
With my attempts at taking my truck out to see the world, I've completely destroyed what was left of the factory suspension, my brakes are screaming at me, and I'm due on an oil change. Prior to all this, I've never even jacked this truck up, let alone turned a wrench on her...
Its time to repent for my abusive ways, and in the weeks to come, I'm gonna breathe some new life into this poor girl....I'm still just debating on what suspension I want to run. Just when I think I have it figured out, I read something new/different and change my mind. Leaning towards the TRD Front/LC Rears with Tundra 5100s setup.
Here's how she sat when I first got out here. She's a little saggier now... I've got the marks on my frame above my bumpstops to prove it.
