I live in lansing. I just recently pulled the trigger and joined as well. I just bought my 04 v6 in August. I've a few little mods but the best bang for the buck was the tacoma suspension swap. I got the shocks from a da civ buddy of mine that upgraded his oem to aftermarket. Did the work at the hobby shop on post with my father-in-law. Big difference in ride. My truck had 140+k miles on original suspension.

Also, check the legends Toyota parts dept. for pricing with military discount. I got my allweather mats front and rear from them for about $60. Not bad at all and they're local.

Yes, Leavenworth and surrounding area, have lots of gated communities. When I first moved here, I couldn't believe how many there were in such a small area. Guess it's where all the too cool for obeying laws people live.
