Hey all,

Been lurking off and on for @ a year now...Just picked up a 97 4runner, so I figured I might as well get official and join up...

I'm in the upper Northwest corner of Montana about 8 mi from the Can border...gonna build a DD rig that can get me and the fam most places we wanna go, summer or winter...

Picked up the runner on ebay...got it fairly cheap, came with the TRD SC, but no fuel mods...

Ordered the URD 7th injector kit, 2.2 pulley, and Sonoran Steel 1.2 lift, should be here this week....I also got a deal on brand new Tundra calipers and rotors, so I slapped them on without issue last weekend...(BTW, I have 16" Limited wheels that cleared the 231mm calipers without grinding)...

Anyway, that's where I'm at and what I'm doing next week...after that I'll be looking for gears, lockers and armour...

I've learned alot here while lurking, and look forward to learning even more.

I love me some ham sammaches..

Last time I was in Indy, I ate at St. Elmos...that's damn good grub...it was during the NFL combine and ALOT of players and coaches were there..we ended up getting seated next to Joe Addai...he's good people
 
Welcome Sammich lover in Big Sky from Alaska where 2 feet of snow is just another day not an "epic" storm.............where do they find those weather forecasters?

enjoy that 97. had one myself. 2 tons of fun =)

AK is where I would be, if the wifey would allow it...maybe someday..
 
Welcome from GA....it's not AK or MT, but its not MO or KS either....if I had my way it would be CO!

Oh and by the way, we would all like to see some pics of your ride now...:cowboy:

I lived just south of Myrtle Beach, SC for awhile...Spent a few St Patty's days in Savannah....GA is good country...still lots of places to get "lost" down there!

I'm in the middle of the SS 1.2 install and taking step by step pics...will post them when I'm done...figured I'd tackle some rust issues while I'm in there...GAWD, I hate rust..

Was in the Coast Guard for 10 years, after that, my job took me on the road.

Having kids now, I don't get around near as much, but we still like to explore new places....Hell, that's how we ended up in MT....liked it so much we moved here...
 
Eureka!! Ok, I know where your at. I think you make #4 on the list of 3rd generation T4R owners on this site. I've got some questions about your lift but i'm PM you.
