saved two 2nd gen 4runners from the crusher! both ran!
my first toyota! wanted one since i was 16! at $300 for both and going halfers with my buddy, i could finally afford one! hahaha!
the 4wd's engine spews oil BADLY, so we pulled the engine. we are crossing our fingers as today we are pulling the engine out of the 2wd..we had it running when we shot fuel in intake, and the engine compart is clean.....let you know how it goes.
how do i determine what year they are?
does anyone have a service manuals free?

I think you can find service manuals etc on yotatech.com, just dont go asking too many questions over there , bunch a ****heads overthere running the place FYI (im banned , from THIS computer lol)

Check the VIN, and then check Toyota Tacoma/ 4Runner/ Tundra/ FJ Cruiser Factory Service Manual Page

Congrats on the purchases.
To find out what year they are, just look at the VIN tag on the drivers side doorjamb, the production date is printed on it.
