I just got myself a new '95 4Runner v6 4wd truck. Engine runs well and I plan on doing some work on it to get it to run smoothly. Hoping to possibly meet some locals and have some basic offroad fun.

Well I live in citrus heights but I am frequently in rocklin. near the taylor road and sunset. so closer towards galleria.

I don't think the truck is ready for wheeling yet. I want to make sure the truck is all kosher first. I've never been wheeling before outside of being on a dirt road. And it has to be my daily driver so I don't want to break anything.

But I think it will still be fun once I am all up and running. I need to fix my starter and distributor first and get a tune up at least.

Where are some good places to go wheeling around here? Well, for noobs.

Yea ive wanted one of these toyotas for a while. My chevy s10 crapped out the other day in the 100 degree weather. Radiator busted. So i had to get one. I was bent between this and a cherokee.

Yea. I have to do major transmission work. Seems like its leaking and overheating. Have to take it in wednesday for a diag.

Glad to see there's others around. I will have to take it out once all is good in the hood.

So iv'e ended up having to to a handful of work. I posted questions in a different post below.

I luckily found a local mechanic at a midas i was referred to by a friend, and chances are he also has a 4runner but a '91. So I like the idea that if I need to take it to a shop theres one where the guy has my car and knows my common issues. All in all it's a fun car to drive but its going to sit for a couple weeks till I get the transmission and can have a friend help me put it in. Along with a starter, spark plugs/wires, distributor, LED interior lights, an oil guage that 'actually' works, a train horn, i would like to get a cold air K&N intake, and one of these purely cause they are kinda funny:

going to replace the starter, distributor/cap, spark plugs and wires this weekend. And hopefully put a k&n intake on it. I am ordering my transmission tomorrow if the local yard doesnt have one. Will take a week to get here.

I think if you want your car to drive smoothly, you can use some tools.such as gas springs
