Hello from the rust belt

Hello everyone,My name is Fred,I'm from Nova Scotia Canada.
I am new to your site,just bought an 89 4runner
22re 5spd
Truck sat for some time with head gasket troubles,but was rust checked so it only had minor rust over the rear wheels.
I got a spare head from a friend and had it redone and replaced all the top end gaskets and it runs great.
I have had a few toyota 4x4 trucks before,but now with a small family I needed a back seat.
I can't wait to get this thing up in the air and have some fun with it,I look forward to getting to know you guys.

I'm up in Amherst. Love the rain, and I'm really tempted to do some gravel road driving. But, I want to wire brush the under carriage, hose down underneath in detail, and then let my baby dry out for a few days--and get Rust Check done before it rains again. Then--bring it on.

I think mine will see some light trail running,I'm not much one for the mud if I can help it.
I like to keep them clean and not full of scratches,but it is my daily driver so I'm not driving my 1978 F100 too much.I just spent a coupel years restoring it,and its almost time to put it away for the winter.

Now that I've spent days cleaning things and lubing things getting ready for winter, I'm barely in the mood for a mud driveway. I'll probably test out the full capabilities this winter on some back roads. Clean snow will just get rid of the slushy, salty, gunky snow. Thankfully, in case I get stuck, the farthest walk to civilization in NS is like 10 minutes.
