Hello all
I joined a couple weeks ago when I found out for certain that I was going to by a 4th generation 4runner, I have wanted one for years but am just now in a good spot to buy one. I will be getting a white 2003 Limited V6 2wd in a day or two to replace my 2000 Z71 (and hopefully save a little gas). I went with a 2wd because of simplicity and mpg savings, I rarely take my truck off road anymore and don't use the 4wd even then. I'm one who isn't happy with stock so the truck has a ton of bolt on and custom mods & I can't bare to leave the 4runner stock either :wink2:
I have been using this forum to research what kind of modifications are out there for my t4r. I have been selling a few things from my truck and buying parts for the t4r So far (even though I don't have the t4r yet) I have accumulated:
I know you're probably thinking thats a lot to have purchased before the vehicle but most of it came from my truck or from selling/trading parts from my truck and the only reason I don't have the t4r yet is because I'm buying it from my aunt & she's waiting on her 2010 t4r limited to come in.
I bought the speakers because after driving it for a while I realized the JBL sound doesn't compare to my truck (where most of the audio system is coming from) but am still unsure about how I'm going to mount the 13tw5, but its only 2.5" deep so it shouldn't be too big of a problem. So any suggestions for that would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone for helping me figure out what's out there, what's needed, and how to make the modifications I have upcoming! Also I'm open to suggestions for further mods, especially performance mods (no exhaust though, I want it to stay quiet), I can't find anything besides what I've already purchased.
