Hello. I'm here to learn. :)

Hello everyone!
I'm new here and wanted to say hello. I bought a 1990 4R about a year-ish ago that I am totally in love with! She's not the fastest thing I've learned but she gets there. She kind of fell in my lap, took her on a few trips and then promptly broke her after about oh maybe 6-8 months? My mechanic said it was the crankshaft or something and because he can get them cheap I should just get a new one so I did. So I went from 194k to about 89k miles. This is mostly an introduction but just want to give a little history on my truck. But I am here to also learn about my truck so I don't break her again! Haha! I think next up will be tires. I'm not sure if I'll get an answer in here or if I should post that somewhere else? What kind should I get for the way I use my truck; a lot of commuting and weekend fire roads, probably mostly light 4wd. I'm not an off roader per se (rock climber trying to get to the rocks actually) but do use it from time to time.

So hello! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and thanks for any help and info on taking care of my baby!

Greetings and welcome

Love the rocks and love to camp myself. Had my 83 on the side of a mountain off a wildlife preserve in west virgina and camped for a week living off the land.

Low gear really comes in handy!!!

I'd recommend Wrangler Silent Armors. They'll be better for the commute than the BFG's, while still taking you where you want to go off the beaten path.
