Hi, Michael in New Mexico here. Just wanted to say I am new to this forum today and I just bought my first T4R. It's a 1997 SR5, very clean, runs great for 201,000 miles and looking forward to having some fun with it. Its all stock now except the taller tires 265 75 16s. Was wondering if the taller wheels will affect the Auto transmission much?

Looking forward to learning and having fun with this forum and my new ride.
P.S - Last owner just changed the timing chain, radiator, power steering pump, and starter, as well as the brand new tires!

Those tires should be fine........i wouldn't worry about that. Mine came with 265's from the factory.......

If you run with ECT on, you won't notice a difference.

What part of southern NM? Las Cruces I assume.

Ahh okay thanks! They look great so thats good to hear. Nice looking T4R you have btw. Any suggestions on first improvements for my stock ride? Not sure where to start. Something relatively in expensive at this point...bank got my money today!
I am interested in improving the engine performance right off the bat.

Oh I see. I've been there once, just passing through though. haha

Search the deckplate and ISR mods for performance gains, or just get a true cold air intake and maybe exhaust system. Minimal gains, but that's the best your gonna do without a supercharger or something.

Hahaha okay, pictures coming tomorrow! Thanks for the info on initial performance gains. That will be my first upgrade for sure. Im loving this ride! Keep looking for excuses to go drive it! LOL

x2 on the ISR and deckplate mod. Can't beat it for the money.
