Hey guys, just found this page and thought i'd join up! Haven't been on the boards much in the past few tears. My project motivation has kinda died of an i need to get back into it. I've been driving first gen 4Runners and Second gen trucks for about 15 yrs.
First is the off-road 4Runner a 87 that i picked up in Utah for $150! spotless frame and almost spotless body(which is all it was when i bought it) at the time i was driving a 87 body an 85 frame which i had put together but after a few trips to Moab the rusty michigan frame was cracking in a few spots. I was doing mechanic work out there an my boss let me keep it in the shop all winter so i sas'd it an transfered EVERYTHING from my old one over.
Second 4Runner is a 85 SR5 that i picked up working out in North Dakota last winter for $600! only a couple rust spots, the frame is spotless. power everything and everything works, even the ac. I had to replace the headgasket and the heater core.
