Today while running errands I got back into my vehicle to start it, '03 4wd V8. The engine cranked just fine and started up kind half ass, it idled at about 300 rpm for a few seconds and then just died out. I attempted to start it several times after that and it would just crank but to no avail. I checked all related fuses concerning EFI and fuel pump. I also took out the relays controlling the ignition system and other relevant ones and tapped them a few times, Just in case they were sticking. Sadly it would not start. I had this problem once before a few months ago. Only thing is last time it did it the vehicle started up after a few tanks and problem went away, until now I guess.. Any advice?,, Thanks

glad you found it in short time. how did you diagnose? was it not turning on, or was it worn and not delivering enough pressure?

I disconnected the fuel line leading up to the injector rails and cranked the engine, hardly any fuel shot out of the supply line. I then hooked up my friends fuel injector cleaning machine to the injector rail. We set the pressure at 35 psi and it instantly cranked up. And on a side note. The city I am in has been having huge problems with water in the gas. Several gas stations have shut down pumps due to this. One of them even having to pay for several fuel pump repairs. Not sure if this could of been the culprit with me? But either way I now have a nice little project ahead :(
