on my '02 there are 2 accessory plugs below the radio and then one in the back buy the storage compartment. One day they just stopped working......is there a separate fuse for these? I cant figure it out because the cig lighter still works

Any help would be appreciated.

I dont remember exactly how it looks back there, but did you check the connectors behind the panel? i remember they come lose really easy.

I checked this out originally and found that all of the conections were tight - I spoke with a Toyota parts person who had me replace the accessory fuse under the hood - did not work - still stuck without power on these plugs.

Dave,
I'm not sure if this applies to your 4Runner, but on the '98 there is a fuse and a relay to control the power outlets.
It's purpose is to turn on/off the outlets
with the key. Try that instead of the Acc.
fuse.

Check the fuse box on the left side of the driver dash. Typically fuses under the hood are supplying devices that require constant power. Fuses inside the car generally supply ignition control devices, ie the power outlets.
