Help. 18" Sequioa rims on 4runner?

MM3

hi guys, my 4runner came 16" wheels with 265/70/16 tires. need new tires and for descent set at discount tires will cost me around $600 mounted. came across local guy who is selling 18" factory rims off his 08 sequioa. wheels and tires have 20 miles on them. he basically got new wheels right after he drove off from the dealership. he's selling it for $500 and was wondering if this will be okay for the 4runner. tires are p275/65r/18. discount tire recomends p275/60r/18 when going to 18" rims. if i did my calculations right the overall diameter will be about 1 3/4 inch bigger that what i have now. you guys think ill have problems as far as rubbing? i imagine the offsets should be pretty close
btw, im not doing any off roading or anything.

thanks
andrew

They will NOT work, correct me if I am wrong butbthe new sequoias are 5 lug, and I would be willing to bet that those tires are way to big and you would have A LOT of rubbing.

thought it was '09 that they changed the tires.... i would double check me on that though.

and from what i have been told, the sequoia wheels have less backspacing, so you will have some rub one way or another, but it might not be that bad

2007 and lower 6 lug Sequoia rims will fit but like others have said, the 2008 and up Sequoia rims are now 5 lug
