sup guys, my runners 2 weeks old (dealer plates still on!) and its displaying these lights:check engine, brake, abs, skid,4lo, 4wheel, power steering and tire light. to top it off, the seatbelt warning buzzer doesnt go on. i have to over ride the shifter to put it in gear. the reverse camera and back up sensors dont work! brakes feel spongy also. ive waited for this runner for 3 months! why me?! has anyone encountered this?

I agree. get it back to the dealer asap. It is probably something really simple, but get it back to the dealer and let them fool with it. That way they have record of it in case something really is wrong down the road.
Besides, you didn't pay close to $40K to troubleshoot a brand new car.
Have you done anything that might have caused confusion amongst the electronics?

Don't bother asking us, take it directly back to the dealer! Obviously something is not right! Personally I would be worried about additional damage driving it to the dealer. I would make them provide a flat bed to tow your 4R to the dealer for service. Usually when I get a product that has flaws right from the start I return it and forget it as if they fix one thing what 6 others are lurking, hard to do with a vehicle though, although it would be nice! Sounds like some main sensor cable is gone, that or you have a bad pcm/ecu.

Actually the gas cap not being tight can cause the check engine light to go off and honestly the tumor one was pretty funny. Relax it is a new vehicle and the dealer will take care of it. No need to start a war:infidel:

I ws serious about the gas cap, if it is not tight it will screw with the system and continue to display different warning lights, if it not tight tighten it, drive it and it should reset after a few miles, if not disconnecting the batter may clear it

5th gen owners rear view mirror warning!
sup y'all! i havent been on the forum for a suuppper long time! but those lights were triggered by a couple of blown fuses! the truck wouldnt even get in gear! toyota couldnt find out what the problem was for about 5 days! they finally traced it to a metal neckace that was hanging on my rear veiw mirror! it just so happened that it was thin enough (about 2mm.) to get between the joint behind the mirror causing the positive and negative terminals to touch! wich grounded the rear view cam causing the fuses to blow! toyota should have properly covered the terminals! my dealer told me that my situation was brought to the main office and that the newer toyotas would be properly protected. so, if you got a 2011 or older; DO NOT HANG ANY TYPE OF METAL ON YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR!

Yep, only Dice on the Mirror is allowed - It is in your owners manual.
